I love a good vicarious trip to the boot sales with you. Saves me battling the crowds 😂 It actually makes me think that I should have organised my own stall at a local market to divest our home of unwanted treasures before Christmas. It’s warming up here in Adelaide - we’ve already had a few days up into the mid 30’s. Busy planning and shopping for Christmas while we squeeze in our last 3 weeks of work for the year before a very welcome 2 week break.

That was a brilliant boot sale Mr C, with lots of great things. I love the robin plant holder you got… so sweet! …and the Grimm fairytales book would definitely look lovely as a decorative piece. My Mum & Dad used to go to loads of car boot sales & bought some brilliant stuff. I’ve only been to a couple. The main reason is that most are on a Sunday & I don’t believe in that. Have you ever been to a jumble sale? They used to do one at my local Salvation Army church once a month but unfortunately some people kept stealing a lot of the stuff that they had stored, so they cancelled it in the end.

The Grimm Fairytales caught my eye for sure & you got it! They are valuable hold on to it. About the car boots, I live in Arizona in the USA and we have them year round. They never close. We also call them “Swap meets” or “Flea Markets” I don’t know why really, there is NO swapping or fleas lol just a bunch of people selling ALL kinds of stuff! ❤

I bought some beautiful cotton Christmas design vintage looking napkins from mine yesterday 8 of them for £2 . They are gorgeous. I love looking for ceramic bits this time of year . I'm on the look out for Spode things as I've got the spode Christmas 🎄 tree set . Just want other bits to add to it X X

Hi Mr C, as someone mentioned - I would have bought the beach scene painting at the beginning. Also the gold Coach purse depending on the price - I love Coach handbags etc. I did see the F & B paint pots and wondered if you would take home one of those. The M&S Xmas paper was a steal. Jenny Colgan is one of my fave authors, that book is a lovely story. Arthur Rackham is very collectable, people strip his pics from old books and sell them on. Love the fairy tale book, a real bargain 🎉

Iwan I was hopping you pick up that Robin, I was thinking his name should be Henry the Rooftop Robin. 😊 it seems so odd to me you have Christmas robins which are normal Spring birds . I just knew you’d buy that gorgeous jumper. I’ve any of your vids. It is 8 pm here in Northern California and Thanksgiving Day here. Did my share of cooking and my daughter in law did her share and hosted . Lovely meal and I stayed and helped with cleaning up before coming home. Relaxing now while the turkey bones simmer for stock to use as base for soup. Old school, not sure how many folks do this anymore but they pay for bone broth in the stores…. But like you I have a soft spot for Robins so he was a great buy,I once brought a bottle of David Davidoff Cool Water for £5.00 at a charity Shop 100 MLS & sealed my son loved wearing it still a favourite of his now,a nice and fresh smell. Super envy of your Penhalligans bargain! What was the name of the unopened one you found some time ago? I must recommend to you again The Perfume Parlour. There's currently a BF sale on for 24 hours only. They have lots of Penhalligans dupes. The roll on oils are fantastic - around £4, some less. Great for travels and gifts.
