Ms. Rebecca’s words on Palace Confidential were so very moving as a tribute to what this young lady symbolized for your country. There is a big difference between Edward and Sophie, and Harry and Meghan Edward was never a jealous child - He simply wanted to work. He was told he was not needed in the family and understood that. He didn't write a book about how he was unfairly treated, and he was. Sophie is not a narcissist who wants money and celebrity. A royal knockout was done when Edward was young - he wasn't even 25. However, people make it out that it was yesterday. Edward and Sophie are very family-orientated and would never hurt either of their parents the family Harry and Meghan have. Harry is older but people are still willing to forgive his actions and decisions as that of a child. Yet - Edward actions as a teenager are used as a stain on his character. It is double standards.

They learned from their mistakes though which is more than we can say about H & M who seem impervious to criticism. exactly Meghan wanted to make money - end story. You cannot make a lot of money as a royal unless you are the King or Prince of Wales. She would never be able to work in a position like the Princess Royal or Duchess of Edinburgh. Same with Harry- he seeks to be in the front of everything - he needs to be seen and get recognition. It is his nature to be the popular one and get attention. Edward does get attention or recognition. Attempts have been made at the palace to give him PR and he has rejected it. When it was aired, my family absolutely loved watching Prince Edward and Princess Royal and Fergy and Andrew in the IT's A KNOCKOUT! it was a really wonderful gathering of our royal family, the obstacle courses and hurrah! that the crowd emitted. Prince Edward did a fantastic job, (Mustn't laugh Mr Eden), even my dad who was a stalwart old fuddy duddy, Loved the show, was ever so proud of the young prince, with his feathered cap, and we all crowded around the telly to watch it. We have some lovely memories from it. Thank you for airing the show about the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, it was fascinating and compelling viewing...as all your reports are. Bless you.
