Thank you! I have an old type from a Morris Minor and I just couldn't work out how the rack cable attached to the crank. Every other video fudged that operation. Mine is different but has enough similarity that I now know how to disconnect it to remove the motor for testing.

I just opened mine in my Defender 110. It kept hitting the edges of the windshield. I opened it up at it was 140 degrees!
