This is a great presentation along with the jet kit I should be able to get my tt250 to stop stuttering when I am accelerating to higher RPM’s. I requested this video just last week and here it is. Thanks Joey and CSC!

just installed my jet kit for my TT250! great tutorial. I had 1 snag with the throttle cable because I didn't notice at 7:50 that Joey is holding the carb "backwards" for a better viewing angle. I was trying to install the slide with the notch lined up with the right side of the bike but it should be the left side.

Awesome! Thank you for posting these, makes me feel much more confident about doing maintenance on my SG250. Keep them coming! Videos on other maintenance like clutch, brakes etc. would be much appreciated.

CSC Motorcycles while I have you here. Is there any talk about getting new seats for the SG250? Especially ones that current owners can order. Something with more cushioning. Thanks

I just bought a similar bike in Mexico. This is invaluable for me. Thanks!!

Did you leave yours sitting and it wouldn’t start up? I’m having that problem right now

@@MrSkullcandy18That’s where I’m at right now too. Bought it from a guy that had it sitting in a garage for a year and a half. Hoping this will do the trick. Should we report back to these comments after we do it? Haha

Aloha Patrick! We are currently in the process of creating many more of our technical service videos. Keep an eye out for our new releases. In the mean time you may find the Service & Tutorial section on our website very useful. A tutorial for the TT250 rear brake inspection, repair, and service can be viewed through this link: cscmotorcycles.com/tt250-brake-maintenance/ Enjoy the Ride!!

Or use recreational fuel that is ethanol free and don’t worry about your crappy pump gas trashing your carb and fuel lines. Good video to help people out. These carbs are really quite simple but many people don’t know what to expect when opening one of these up.

Question. I’ve used ethanol gas for my first three fill ups. If I switch to ethanol free starting now will it help with keeping the carb clean and unclogged? Thanks!
@smartacus884 жыл бұрын
@@PublikSerpnt Yes. Not everyone can access good racing fuel unfortunately. If you are limited to standard pump gas just run the highest test that they have available (premium, 93, etc) and add a bottle of octane booster every tank if possible, but at least every several fill-up's (sold at most gas stations and automotive stores) That will keep things cleaner and running more smoothly than just your basic 97 pump gasoline.

I started the project many months ago but then injured my back and haven’t been able to work on it until now. Today I am putting the carburetor back on the bike but can’t remember where the end of the vent line goes to. I have the tubing attached at the carb but where does the other attach to?

Is it necessary to dremel and adjust the idle jet for the jet kit?
@kahnmichaeltk Жыл бұрын
Not for the sg250
@nickfarris657111 ай бұрын
well, how is the idle adjusted,,,,,, no help here
@cscmotorcycles229711 ай бұрын
turning the idle speed screw (the top screw on the right side of the carb) to the right increases the idle speed / to the left decreases it

Hi, if I change the exhaust at the SG250 is there anything that should I adjust at the Carburetor or is it ok regardless?

The jet kit provides a mixture screw with a flathead slot for easy tuning. cscmotorcycles.com/jet-kit-complete-4-piece-sg250-tt250/

This is what would probably deter me from buying a SG250. I like fuel injection.
@alexchristian53993 жыл бұрын
Fuel injection is highly over rated for motor cycles. If they aren’t set up right from factory there is now way to fix it. It is much easier to adjust jetting then buy a new fuel injection system

Am I the only one who had trouble removing the 8mm inside bolt from the manifold? I think you need that exact wrench.

My2020 sg250 used a 10 mm wrench

Is there an air mixture screw?
@cscmotorcycles22972 жыл бұрын
the air mixture screw is non adjustable from the factory because of EPA, you can buy a jet kit from CSC and the air mixture screw is included in that kit and you can instal it in your carb.
