the oil will not prevent the wear out of the camshafts on those engines. the camshafts were not been hardened correctly. the oem camshafts will wear out ~60000km. just check the cams by open the camshaft cover and replace the cam (and check valvle clearance). if you replace the cam you should do an oilchange .... and dont use to much silicon on the cover ! the oil pump will love it . you might also use 5w50 (i used mobile 1 rally 5w50 on my 2l 16vt fiat coupe which is basically the same engine. dont try to reinvent the wheel. call the experts in europe and ask! (UK, Germany, italy, netherland )

I know a guy that took a strut spring to the face. I went to automotive repair tech school while in highschool. We were all doing our own thing and a guy is changing out the springs on his car. He has the clamp tightened down so far that he's close to maxing the spring out and all of a sudden the clamp broke. He took that spring to the face. Knocked him off his feet and about 5 feet back onto his back. He got up bleeding and was so out of it he didn't know where he was. I got over to him to help him from causing more damage. He broke his jaw, right orbital socket and they ended up having to get rid of over half of his teeth.

Ron, you don't need the channel locks and the gloves. just put the tophat finger tight, then install it, after it's installed on the hubs and the top, it won't spin on you. then you zap that top nut tight. and that my friend is how you mount a tophat coilover.

@@TheHoonigans well, i'm italian and have been restoring a delta integrale with a twin charge for the last two years, so in the integrale case it is true. that car has a lot of quirks like the oil filter one, you guys need to be prepared. a great car none the less, most I see are rotten to pieces.

If you read this, and that BMW keeps overheating, it needs to be jacked up at an extreme angle in the front to get the air out of the system. The radiator is lower than the intake, and air gets locked in. Had the same problem in mine.

Maybe a little to late but we work alot with kw suspension and other brands and kw sells an special tool to set the nut in the tophat it hold the shaft so it doesn't turn. And you can even easily torque spec the nut

Yes the bmw's are notorious for the cooling having to be bled.. Anytime to the fill point is lower than the highest coolant hose/port.. It must be bled. Badass rides though and love the content 👌
