It's naturally aspirated (not forced air induction), so the rear-facing scoop works just fine. Probably just a high-rise manifold with a 650 or 750 carb, at most, dual quads. All it needs is cold air. The carb draws what it needs, and It's no colder if it comes in faster (with a forward-facing scoop). Kind of like todays cars with cold air induction kits that simply snake around to the most direct and convenient entry port (wheel well, etc.).

For those of you reading this YT debacle of cancelling my replies: It seems that Dethmeister hit on the trick. That is, if I sort the threads according to "newest" instead of "top comment", I can now see my replies that were "hidden". I don't usually use this function because it will bury pertinent threads way down in comment sections that are very active. (And now I can see mercoid's post). However, it still seems to be selective. I have exchanged posts and replies in some comments sections that are many months to two years old without going to "newest". @@mattg7952 And its on backwards for a high rise intake. being a car guy in the 70s and building several old camaros and firebirds I know which way the air should flow into a hood scoop. And Im familiar with that specific style of scoop, its an old prostock drag scoop for increased air flow to the carbs. Running it backwards like that you're not "scooping" air so you're cutting down on the air flow that a high rise tunnel ram with a dual carb set up needs for peak performance. Also, being that its a sitcom tv car from the 70s it probably has a stock motor in it and the scoop is just cosmetic. In any case its mounted backwards.
