The new Astra is 4,374 millimetres long and 1,860 mm wide. It is only 4.0 mm longer than the previous model. The wheelbase increased by 13 mm to 2,675 mm. Notwithstanding the muscular, confident stance, the new Astra’s practical boot with adjustable floor still offers the driver and four passengers up to 1,339 litres of luggage volume (Astra Hybrid 1,268 litres) with the rear seats folded down.
The new Astra is based on the third generation of the highly flexible EMP2 multi-energy architecture, with Opel DNA built in from the start of development. This means that the handling is composed as well as dynamic and that the new model - like every Opel - is “Autobahnproof”. In other words, high-speed capability was a primary development objective.
The steering and lateral stiffness of the chassis - McPherson strut suspension at the front, torsion bar at the rear - are designed for high yaw control (damping of the movement around the horizontal axis). Under braking, the new model delivers strong stopping power and remains highly stable in curves as well as in a straight line. The torsional rigidity of the new Astra is 14 per cent higher than that of the previous model.
Order books for the new Opel Astra opened in October and it will roll out to the first customers in the spring. It will initially be launched as a sporty five-door model with coupé-like lines; the elegant Astra Sports Tourer estate version already presented in pictures will follow shortly. The new Astra was designed, developed and is produced with the highest precision at Opel's headquarters in Rüsselsheim. Opel Astra - made in Germany.
The new Astra has something for everyone in terms of drive alternatives - it is the first Opel model that will soon offer customers the choice between pure electric drive, plug-in hybrid or combustion engine. The power range extends from 81 kW/110 hp to 165 kW/225 hp system output (WLTP1 combined fuel consumption: 5.8-1.0 l/100 km, CO2 emissions 131-22 g/km) - so superior driving performance is guaranteed. Opel combines driving fun with top efficiency and environmental consciousness in the latest generation of its compact class bestseller.

We are planning to buy a new car, but on the inside we think the Kia Niro looks nicer and more modern. The many push buttons on the dashboard of the Astra are old-fashioned. Considering the price of Opel and Kia, we choose the Kia Niro. The most ugly thing about the Astra is that shark fin on the roof. Really ugly. We admired both cars at the dealer and drove them. Our choice is not an Opel Astra.

The exterior of the car is very chic and beautiful, but the interior is so cheap and terrible, it looks like a budget car. Chinese cars have interiors that are pleasant, leather and more comfortable, pleasing to the eye.

A shame about all that glossy black plastic, if they ditched that they would have a much better and cleaner looking interior.

There is something wrong in opel I don’t know I mean for the design . The finishing is not cool I think something missing and random

В отличие от современной автомобильной моды, где полно всяких цацкок и блестяшек, у этого автомобиля на первый взгляд весьма скромный, но как по мне, очень тонко выдержанный дизайн. Стильная и красивая машина...

Красота одним словом. Что мне нравится, в нем оставили кнопки, а не сделали так, что всё управление через ЖК монитор. Сам владел астрой. И знаю, что они огонь.
