I was complaining about my 2024 x7 M60i not having much trunk space. Got rear ended while car was parked so insurance totaled the car. Went to test drive an LX600 and noticed how cramp the car is on the inside. The sales guy is average build 5’10 and his knees touched the back of the drivers seat and my husband who was driving is only 5’7 so I wonder how comfortable would it be for someone who is 6’ or taller and heavier build. It seems as if this car is built for petite people. Trunk space is little to none. I miss the x7. But hubby has his mind set on getting the lx.

People want to own Lexus based upon the perception and idea of owning a Lexus, the actual experience doesn't really matter as much anymore. I think even Toyota has figured this out, that would be consistent with them removing luxuries like higher quality materials and increasing the price. They know Americans will line up to get one regardless and they aren't wrong. Now their reliability is taking a hard hit and that reputation and perception is being affected too.

@@G-Rated we bought our first brand new lx 470 in 1999. We never had any problems with it until my sister drove it through a sand dune and several feet of water. Then we got the brand new 2009 lx 570. We had it for 14 years without any issues. Passed it down to my son in law who loves it. Went to look at the 2024 Lx600 “luxury” model and am so disappointed. Nothing luxury about it. Small seats, cramped leg rooms and 2 front screens stacked on top of each other looked so weird. We loved the size and the v8 of the lx570. don’t understand why they made the car smaller and charging so much more. Whoever designed the car must be a very small person. No way can my son in law who is 6.2 sit in the back seat. That’s probably why they don’t have many available in the US. Most are sold in other countries where the average height is 5.6 that’s why they don’t have much inventories in the states making the price sky rocket

Old fashion sunroof is because it is an off-roader. Really, it shouldn’t even have a sunroof. Small third row is to be used in a pinch, once again, it is an off roader, not a family hauler. Trunk is fine if you keep the 3rd row folded.

The bottom one is for the climate control and the upper is for infotainment system so that while you're driving you don't get distracted for that giant big screen to just modify the temperature of your car or something, and if you need bigger screen go for Tesla I guess 💀

They could’ve added a few more inches to make it look suitable for a large luxury SUV. Something like the Mercedes GLS, BMW XM, or the Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade where the front passenger seat can have their own screen. Lexus needs to innovate tbh..

It's like they are playing a cruel joke on their customers at this point. The driver display is better, admittedly. The tank is smaller, yet the fuel economy hasn't improved that much. Personally I think it looks great and if you know or value anything about build quality or where the LX is built ( the actual plant) you would know that’s is probably the best built SUV for the money spent. The value of the LX has never been about size or foolish Escalade like technology, it is about the “ GUTS” of the vehicle and how it is bolted together. But unfortunately idiots in the United States have no clue, hence they will spend $ 115,000.00 on a Cadillac Escalade because it is bigger and wows them with technology that does not work and then after 4-5 years the POS Escalade is worth $ 25,000.00. And keep in mind the LX was designed this way purposely. Have fun taking your POS Escalade off road or driving it in 18 inches of snow, I’ve done both in a LX with no problems.

While my finances are none of your business, I am qualified to say this and am at peace knowing that. Unfortunately I love Lexus but when comparing its $115.000 base price with the fully specified $118.000 Infiniti QX80 Autograph, any reliability reputation points go out the window for a car whose original owner probably won’t take more than 40k miles. The Infiniti clearly looks modern and crafted. The Lexus looks copy pasted.

But remove the name and its not practical or utilitarian at all.
