It was the same Miriam who appeared on Press Your Luck in the 20th episode. And I would like to add to this: she's is one of my favorite contestant on Press Your Luck Luck who pass the spin to Warren and ended with the double $0 tie.

The pace seems to be very slow compared to later Jim Perry and the Bob Eubanks episodes. I wonder when the producers of Card Sharks decided that viewers know the rules enough to rev it up.

The “R” word? It’s not a curse word y’know. Like Ryan said, it’s supposed to have a different meaning. I hate it when people try to turn “retard” or “retarded” into a curse word. It’s anything but and not many people use it in a derogatory manner. If anything, making it out to be a curse word makes it more enticing for bullies and jerks to use.
