Gita is HOT! For a second I thought she was native american but after hearing her last name, I'm thinking she's from Assam in India, people say(encyclopedias, reporters,etc.)say that Assamese look like native americans. They should kept Richard Thomas on instead of Richard Dawson. He seems to know more

Thomas was in his second year of a long run with Waltons. Whereas Dawson had completed his long run with Hogan Heroes and laugh-in. He was most likely more available.

NO. Richard Thomas promoting Little House. Richard Dawson and Gene Rayburn were the stars this show was built around. Richard was the comic and Heathrow, Gene was the Master of ceremonies. Without both of them the show wouldn't have last thru the first year. Richard is the mainstay.
