Joel McHale is the current host of "Card Sharks" aired Sunday evenings on ABC. When one card is the same as the next one, it's supposed to be a push (no win, no loss) until the final bet. The late Jim Perry was the original host of "Card Sharks" when his version was aired on NBC.

True, but in my honest opinion, I personally think Jim Carrey would've been a better choice to host the Card Sharks revival. Think of it; Jim Perry, the OG host, and Jim Carrey, they sound alike. To me, it would've been a home run.

The one good thing about the ones w/Wink Martindale (and the late Tom Kennedy on another clip): Jim Perry (or maybe the show) was kind enough to have it to where the least those celebrity players would have for their charities was $5000 (I call it a kindness because of all those busts and how embarrassing they were).

I hated the lose on a Push (double) rule on the Jim Perry Version of Card Sharks until October 20, 1980. the 1986-89 Version with Bob Eubanks was so much better because a push (double) was no win-no loss.

The ones that are scary to see for example are: Lower than an ace, another ace shows up. I call those "ibid cards". Or higher than a deuce, another deuce shows up. "Ibid cards" are the 2 cards that are neither higher nor lower than each other.
