I am new to quilting. Got the guide tape that you have to place in front of the needle. Do you put the middle line right in front of the needle or couple of threads to the side to get scant 1/4" when you sew?

Mine is in front of the needle. I use the magnetic guide for my scant 1/4 seam.

I watched this on You Tube on my TV and then looked up your site. Wow! You are amazing. I have an idea to adapt your card table runner pattern into a Christmas Item. I'm going to try it. What do I need to do to get my designs copyrighted? Thanks for this tutorial. I will certainly be watching more of your tutorials. You have inspired me greatly.
@TiffanysQuiltingLife2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 And copyright is a lot of hassle and time and research.
@vickimcfarland12682 жыл бұрын
@@TiffanysQuiltingLife Dear Tiffany, I thought a copyright was important if you're putting your own creations out for sale. I also see a lot of quilters using the Dresden pattern. How does one get ahold of the originator to get permission to use this design or is it a pattern that has been around along time. I want to make some of the free patterns like those I've seen on Jordan's Fabrics. I plan to ask for permission to use the designer's patterns even though they are free. There are even some of yours I would like to make and sell and I would like your permission to you and sell and give you credit. Please let me know how to go about this. By the way, I was able to figure out the materials, measurements, and cuttings to be able to make your Card Table runner. I also make felt beaded and sequined Christmas ornaments, table runners, wall hangings, stockings, candle warmers, circular table mats, and banners. As soon as 9 can get back to selling soon, I will be donating to you for sharing your talent and expertise methods. Again, thank you. Vicki
