I would like to let you know that you got me back to quilting. I had back surgery and later had a double mastectomy so there was a lot of depression till I got a IPad and found you. Seeing you trying to get back to normal I thought I better get out of this chair and cut some fabric. I am 79 and my den is a mess with quilt blocks. I have to say love you from south Mississippi.

I recently purchased the Cricket Mini iron and I love it for small piecing projects like you are doing in this video. It has an automatic shut-off and a great pointed end to work the small seams and smooth all the small blocks. That is the one I keep near me when cutting, pressing and sewing. Doesn’t make me feel like a hot oven!

I’m watching this mid morning as you put this out when I was getting my little ready for nursery. Embroidering my first quilt label as it is for a full sized single/twin bed for my child and I hope it’ll be used for a long time. Lovely watching you work whilst I sew. Actually we, at at least I, can hear Scott. So far, taking you with me, I've had breakfast,put dinner in the slow cooker (it was 10 AM here)folded laundry, carried out the recycling, put another load in the washer, and put clean dishes away. You and Scott have been good company.

Love hearing Scott as he does the video. Maybe Martelli needs to thicken their blades above the circular edge. I have the martelli mat and rotary cutter. I have used it but never cut thru many layers. I don’t like the “pinked edges” either. It takes away from our seams

Oh my goodness! You rock! I also have chronic pain (lupus and fibrom) I'm just getting into the long arm quilting. I always tell my sister that I have champagne tastes of quilts, but a beer budget knowledge of actual quilting! Lol I just started to follow you, so I can't wait to watch & learn. I love that you design some of your own patterns. AWESOME!!!! I recently bought one of those mini irons because it's easy to keep close and it doesn't use as much power as my Rowenta, this one is a Dritz, it is a replacement for the one that was recalled. It is so handy for small pieces and it is so light weight. It heats up so fast. I'm doing some hand sewing right now, I've been up all night and I just looked at the clock, oh my gosh it's 6:30 am. Major case of insomnia. I'm new to your channel, so I'm catching up on all your back videos. It's so much fun. I have Lupus and all the arthritis types, so I know what you mean about swelling feet, numb fingers, yada yada yada.
