Lex won that 100%. So fun to watch and see how creative everyone was. I live in maine and a cub master for the local cub scouts and we did something similar to this. But made cardboard snow sleds during the winter. They could be as creative as they wanted but had to be made from cardboard

One suggestion Is next year each kid have their own boat cause I think some adult boats sunk due to they were already wet. And the adults have their own boat too. Also I want to say Lex should get a sportsmanship trophy 🏆 cause he truly won. Beings Dan pushed the other boat not once but twice!! Lex took it like a CHAMPION 🏆!! My family did reunions with games for a few years and then lives change. It’s fun watching this event and you both did a great job. Steph’s family…wow, loved it. I was screaming “Go Bre, go”. Can’t wait to see who got the end video. I do want to add, watching Pawpaw’s video where he is teaching Lex was heartwarming. He is going through the steps with the paddle. In the water, Lex struggled and it felt like he could hear Pawpaw over all the cheering. Then Dan gets in the water…again…and poof…Lex’s diligence, learning and hard work was gone. BUT in saying all of this, Lex handled it like a champ and he will be proud of what his Pawpaw did and will do for him. In the end this shows and helps build his character. I’m personally proud of Lex. Great job, young man! Jami, glad you got a nap and awesome job. Oh, Jake had to have cheated lol. ❤

Great Video, Jami! I have LOVED everyone's coverage of the boat races! Thanks for showing us each of the boats and for interviewing the participants before hand. Everyone was so comical and ultra competitive! 🤣 This was so much fun. You and Lester really know how to put on a fantastic and fun family event. Your breakfast looked wonderful and you and Lester had LHL's looking so beautiful. I have watched two different versions of the boat race before yours. It’s so much fun to see how everyone captures what is happening. I’m so glad you caught Conner flipping over. That was so funny. Poor guy tried everything not to tip over. Why don’t you put together a day for the Polk County firemen to have a boat race. It might give them something to look forward too. I’m sure they are all worn out from fighting fires. They might be able to have a day of fun. They could always bring the fire trucks with them just incase they would have to go out on a call. This was a huge success. I loved that it became a neighborhood event. Love seeing Kenny there helping out in the water. Chis was in the water helping Gigi. Grandma Pat was toting Kater around. Whatever needed doing they jumped in and did it. This event is all over YT. So many channels in the same place. I think the "new rules" really helped, boat builders. Sadly Lester wasn't any better off for it but it was impressive.

Fun times at Longhorn Lester’s cattle ranch. I was very impressed with the pirates ship and costumes they all wore. Some serious work will need to go into next years boats and now even costumes. I am already thinking about next years boat race and what the boats will be designed like. Well done Marrow family. I also watched Lester’s video last night and I just want to give a big shout out to Jami for the breakfast layout. It was better than any restaurant I have been to or have seen in commercials. Jami you could run your own business catering for people. When I saw it I was immediately hungry and I was not before watching the video. The power of videos is amazing. Lex and Paw Paw did a great job and I was proud of Gigi for being brave enough to take the boat out a second time. Jami you do a mammoth job of working, feeding goats and calves gardening and cooking mixed with some boat building. What a wonderful multi-tasker you are. You deserved that afternoon sleep. (personally I'd need a week of sleep after all you've been through with the added stress of the fire) Lester you forgot to save your voice by not thinking of using the megaphone you had for the rooster. It was fun had by ALL. I think the kids had an absolute BLAST. Poor Connor 😅 he stayed with that ship until it went down, like a true Captain. Elora is beautiful and tried her heart out. I laughed so much. What a great family event. You and Lester should get an award for best hosts! Loved all the boats. Everyone is so creative and can't wait to see next year's boats. Maybe there should be an award for who cheated the most! That one might be hard to call.😄 Lex was such a good sport, he really did deserve the award. Dan is teaching kids the only way to win is cheat . Lex was definitely the winner but he took it like a man when Dan made sure his granddaughter won . The rest of the family made me laugh my butt off . A lot of fun and good food . 😊😊😊😊😊😊 GO LEX !!!!

Loved watching the kids race. Lex showed more maturity than Uncle Dan. Dan cheated and pushed Brin into the shore. Paw Paw was not a fan. You need to make that a no no next year. Love the races and seeing family enjoying their time together. Jamie, you have a family heart and thank you for all your hard work that brought this event together. Love the idea of a themed event. You’re right about how competitive the Marrow’s are😂. Love it. God’s blessings

Jami your Illinois family tradition has been handed down to the Morrow Clan with a huge success ! Denman Homestead definitely had the best looking boat, costumes and video . The music to their video was superb ! Your food looked great . Kim’s boat was really cute ! All did great in the races and provided such funny great entertainment. The sad moments were Dans comments and cheating, I think he ruined B - Graces 1st place win his cheating and everyone calling him out on it. I pray her feelings didn’t get hurt by it . All in all it was so much fun I can’t wait until next years race . Please make it a rule NO adults in the water while kids races are going , 👍🏼🌴🌟🏴‍☠️📦📦⛴️
