Cardboard Poppy

Hi Darrell, thinking of doing this fab idea with year 2 children this Friday. In the clip, did the children add red and black tissue paper to the cardboard or did they paint it? What do you reckon will be easier? Paper straws idea is great! I have about 45 mins with each group of 15 children. Thanks Rebecca

Hi there, yes the group I did this with did red tissue, then some black in the centre, then they left them to dry and added paint too, just to make them more finished, but you could do either. If I was short on time I’d probably just paint? Id always do the red first, to avoid it all mixing and turning brown!
