Brian Gmail I don't think you know how hard it is. If one is indoctrinated into a particular way of life, way of thinking it's a hard cycle to break. In the US, it's almost impossible to get into shelters, even with children.

Brian Gmail Maybe she didn't want to be a burden to the government and society and be seeing as a victim etc.. Maybe she wanted to get back on her feet by her own means even if that means to strip for money (and a little bit to get revenge on her ex?), at least she was strong enought to go out there and start making her own money and didn't let depression take over her or neither was weak to become a drug addict. Im sorry but only a woman who have lived with an abusive man will know the damage it can be done in her soul.

my teacher once said to me "having a degree doesn't make you educated, it just means you know how to read and recite what you read." and sadly I proved that to be true, having conversations with people with multiple degrees that couldn't have a proper educated conversation because it wasn't about what they studied and I've had conversations with persons that only has a high school diploma, and you'd be surprised at their level of reasoning.. having a degree sometimes doesn't mean anything..

That's kinda like me cuz i really don't like to talk about my past cuz sometimes it makes me cry when i tell the story. But the reason is cuz my spanish father abandoned me when i was three and my mom too, ever since he abandoned us it's been really hard for my mom cuz she had to take care of me and she was poor so she couldn't buy any food or anything. And I've been living in the streets for a while and I'm only thirteen years old. I mean, we had to go through the struggle, but my mom really had to struggle to get a roof over my head cuz if it weren't for her i would've died, but look at me and my mom now, we made it, we got a house, a car and i have a mother that loves me❤❤

@@Daria_.0lol ... I'm educated and strong; however, I hid the abuse and didn't press charges because I was embarrassed; our community always stresses don't snitch, but that's ridiculous. REPORT, PRESS CHARGES AND LEAVE. The embarrassment is so overwhelming! There are some women that hope the man will change. It's a sick cycle of abuse that never changes. There are different reasons women don't press charges, and it's not always weakness. You asked a great question, and I wanted to try and answer as a survivor. I stayed married for 15 years, and I finally realized I deserved better. Blessings.
