I love how she and other nail people have like a little community ❤ so many industries are competitive and I'm sure the nail industry is too, but on my experience nail techs tend to be excited and supportive of each others art
@jadalong95874 жыл бұрын
Yes this is true. I'm a student at a beauty school in Miami, Florida, and one thing I've noticed among techs and students is that we don't tend to get jealous or come to hate each other because there's always going to be clients for everyone, particularly because people are going to like how you do nails over how someone else does them or even vice versa. Because of that, there's enough clientele for everyone. We also have a lot to learn from each other, too, I find. Techs, students, and even DIYers are always find ways to do things that's easier for them and also come up with new techniques, and many of them don't mind sharing with others who want to learn or even putting a tutorial up for the entire world to see, and eventually people find their own ways to do those same techniques.
@imapandaperson4 жыл бұрын
@@jadalong9587 it was the same when I was at nail school! Since we all have such different strengths I get so much inspiration from other techs, and it just pushes me to be more creative and have more joy in the craft --- and it's always better grow upwards as a community ❤

I've seen some techs, like Kirsty from Naio Nails lays it down with polygel and gel top coat, uncured, then lays them down and cures it. With gems or even 3D designed like roses, she will reinforce the design and fill gaps with polygel or acrylic so they don't snap off snag in your hair. Her crystals are so stuck on she has to cut them off.
@Jiminie534214 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, you can use clear acrylic or gel to fill in any gaps between large gems or stuff and the nails so that everything feels more smooth and nothing gets caught! I personally like using a builder gel or makartt’s clear qikgel and it works great!
