in another video I saw that you can actually trim and file your mold to save that stress of having it square at the base have you tried that?

My nails got broken within 2 hours of being done. They met with cupboard, but that's normal things, doing dishes and stuff. What did I do wrong? They are very fragile and chip at the end, what is kinda stuff I want to avoid since I am trying to grow out my natural nails. I thought I would protect them but alas . .. 😭 😞☹️

Let'a just say first attempts at builder gel are absolutely horrific. I have been laughing at how incredibly bad this is going 😂

Don’t forget with gel you can flash cure to stop the gel from moving and still continue working on the nail until you get the hang of it

Yes, I learnt on builder gel then moved to hybrid gel and I’d never go back - I wish I’d started with it!! I also made the mistake of learning with clear which was silly as it’s so hard to see. I’d recommend anyone learning to use a colour other than clear!
@ImperialVitriol18 сағат бұрын
@Sarnia_Cherie I am using IBD clear builder gel, and my nails look like a collection of sand dunes. Nothing uniform, smooth, thin, or remotely attractive. Hopefully it second time will go a little better.

@ just keep practicing. Suzie has some great videos on builder gel. Just remember to not flood the cuticle and any bumpy bits can be removed after with filing. Eventually you’ll need to do less filing but at the beginning I found it easier to add more and shape afterwards with filing. If you really struggle, try hybrid gel/poly gel. It’s so much easier to work with, less messy and easier to shape. I’d never go back to builder gel now 👍🏼

The soft circle one reminds me of those things you get as a kid that looked like a beehive and came with its own little pen, I think it worked with magnets too, and when you were done drawing you push this little thing and it erased everything...y'all prob don't know what I'm talking about 😂 but if ykyk

I find myself getting a crazy heat spike when I apply a thick layer like you did. Is it normal for it to happen every time?! Or what can I do to prevent such a thing💥

Could it be said that one of the disadvantages is the lack of self levelling? I'm not sure how much of a bother it becomes. I just had a frustrating practice with builder gel again and the flow really is driving me mad, running everywhere and even if I flip the nail to create an apex, when I turn it back to do clean up it has gone. Plus I get gel all over my skin which I don't think is good according to the allergy stuff. So I really am interested in this - seems ideal. Why is this not used more is my question?

Hybrid gel is honestly one of my favorite things to put on my nails. It leaves my nail plate nice and healthy looking. This is coming from a chronic nail biter. 😂😂

Hi. I am German and I want to make you aware that the automatic translation feature translated the title of this video to ‚FRENCH DENTURES‘. So it’s a wrong translations. Recently I have noticed a whole lot of these on my favorite English speaking channels. As a viewer I cannot turn this off and it’s really annoying. KZbin must have implemented this feature recently and have it turned on by default. PLEASE consider turning off the automatic translation feature. 🙏🏼 it’s obviously not ready to use

I've been a subbie for years, and I know you can answer my question: In order to lessen filing, is there a way to put a paper form on bottom while using a dual form on top with builder gel? It seems we're always filing either the top or underneath. Thank you!
