The circulatory system changes when we perform certain cardiac maneuvers
The change in this pattern affects the quality of murmurs
As doctors, we will encounter a lot of cases and not all of them will have a typical presentation.
These maneuvers help us narrow our diagnosis down

Hi mam,in valsalva there is increased intra thoracic pressure, so blood in lungs get squeezed and go to left ventricle, so blood in left ventricle should increase in LV, and hence hocm murmur should decrease….

Great video! Thank you. I think that in the Marfans case the answer should have been Mitral regurgitation. Mitral prolapse causes a mid-systolic click but not a crescendo murmur.
