Cryptic Cardiff. Do we know if the stones are local or have they been brought from the Preseli hills lust like the blue stones at Stonehenge. It would be nice if they were. But anyway thanks for the tour of these magic sites.

Hi, I live in the area, they are local stones. Wenvoe had over 4 quarries in action until fairly recently in historical terms. Locally it's believed that if you sleep at the stones in St. Lythan on midsummer eve, you will either go mad or become a bard.

. @@MsDig65I have visited Tinkinswood and St Lythan's several times over the years and am always amazed by them. Tinkinswood is said to have the largest capstone in Britain, amazing.
