He was saying main as in I think he meant referring to size, links and listed of importance and busyness. I don't think that city is in the handful of top tier.....No not for quality rating but for use in sentence how he's explaining it opening. It's not meant to be taken personally towards the city

Liam 337:had he said Cardiff is not in the top 10 largest cities (population wise) it would have been an accurate statement. But Cardiff clearly punches above its weight in terms of importance. It is one of the devolved capitals and a major administrative centre being the seat of Welsh Government and hub of Welsh media and home to many notable national institutions. Economically, It is at the centre of a city region of 1.5 million people. I found the statement to be flawed and lacking substance.

Cardiff is essentially the last breath of Wales, sadly, without any industry and the government making sure the only viable businesses are takeaways and established cooperation's that the government hold shares in, the future of the Wales and the UK as a whole is the rich getting richer of the back of the people that are merely trying to exist. Wage slaves living in squalor is what 80% Wales is. Also importing millions of migrants that receive benefits far greater than that of a native, in addition to the ridiculous spending by the government, on projects only designed to increase the amount of tax they can pull from the residence. 20MPH? £18 for 20 cigs? Sugar tax? VAT? Income tax? Insurances? Business rates... different for migrants btw.. it's all just a big ol' joke.

Cardiff is a great city HOWEVER the council and government has absolutely destroyed the road system in the City Centre. Years ago it was a joy to drive around, now it is an utter nightmare. You would think the public transport would be great but most of it is so unreliable and doesn't fit most people needs (not the people who I have spoken to anyway). Redevelopment of parts of the city centre (ie around Central station / central square / St Davids2 shopping centre) is excellent. However Queen Street and the Capitol centre is looking very tired and just plain grim. For me parking in the centre car parks should be free - or under £5 a day and a complete overhaul of the transport system is drastically needed and that's even before the government's catastrophic decision not to build the proposed M4 relief road. If you want a great night out though Cardiff is one of the best places in the UK.

It's also got a pretty bad heroin problem (more visible in the city centre than in any other UK city I've visited) and some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the UK
