In the 80s they played a lot of small ball. I wasn’t around then but I love the history of the game they called it Whitey ball. In 2015 (I think) they won most of their games scoring about three runs on average. Idc how they do it but win the World Series lol. But I’ve seen them win a few different ways. I prefer more scoring but that 2015 season was notable.

Man seems like the cardinals always have some voodoo magic in the playoffs. Even if they barely make it to the playoffs. This is a strange franchise. This century the Cardinals seem to only be able to win the WS with mediocre teams. They barely snuck in the playoffs in 2006 and 2011 and won both years. Yet when they have amazing teams that win over 100 games, it's an early exit out of the playoffs.

Remember the infield fly rule in 2012 Wildcard game or when the Cardinals was one out away from losing to the Rangers in the WS but somehow manage to win game 6 and go on to win the WS.

I’m a cards fan but seeing Folty in the dugout is absolute heartbreaking. He was demoted to Triple A and them led the rotation in the second half of the season. Seven inning shutout in Game 2 just to go and do that. I can tell he’s hurting. GG

People were running around at work telling everyone the score. My phone was blowing up with text messges and phone calls. The first inning got the attention of everyone in STL. -- When a friend had asked me earlier in the day if I was going to leave early to get home to watch the game, I said, "Nah, I'll make it home by the third inning. I'm sure not much will happen before then." Thank God for KZbin!

Cards fan here . Hats off to the Braves for a great year . Foltynewicz got away with a lot of pitches up in the zone last time , Birds were able to adjust and Flaherty who was about at his B game in this series was able to escape the bottom of the first when the Braves had something going . That was pretty much it right there .
