About time this study was done. Maybe someone can do a similar study and include vioxx next time. It was pulled off the market because people on MEGA doses for colon cancer prevention had increased rates of cardiovascular events. They never tested the normal dos with respect to cardiac events. It was also thought to be less injurious to the kidneys and stomach like Celebrex. They are both cox-2 inhibitors.. Vioxx worked very well for migraine headaches and was just about to get FDA clearance to Market as such. Do not respond to this unless you were a fellow medical professional and are familiar with the research. Thank you.

there is problem in this study which uses moderate doses of celecoxib but very high doses of other drugs to prove non inferior side effects in celecoxib group

I am seeing the same exact thing but maybe if you increase the dose of celecoxib to that range it can be toxic.

while celecoxib is a low dose, naproxen and ibuprofen would be considered only to be low to medium dose for control of pain in this situation. I agree that they should have compared only medium dosing to other medium or low to other low, but we at least got some useful information here.

Nope! The decided the doses based on effect and all the three at those respective doses have same effects. Like taking less of celecoxib = more of ibuprofen: hence they ensured that the benefits first remain the same
