I tried to watch his videos because he has great ideas, but I cannot stand listening for more than 20 seconds. Brewers Kitchen on MTG Goldfish though, now that's content where I can excuse it. I guess it really just depends on the quality of content versus how obnoxious the person's voice is for me.

My god, the production value and the kindred energy of the two of you are both just off the charts. Mengu fixing the die before deciding it would be funnier if he didn't, the players riffing together about the balloons in the studio and editing Carl making sure it all worked in post, and Carl chucking the Monarch token to Mengu's dismay before getting up to get it made this feel like two great friends playing two fun decks in an excellent format, which is how I love my Magic.

I've got an actual poison deck but this is a HILARIOUS theme, putting down one posion counter and desperately trying to proliferate it ten times is such a fucky game plan, I love it! I'm actually planning on turning mine into a commander deck at some point, and since I'll have atraxa as the commander it'll include this in the gameplan. I even have prologue to phyresis as well!

It's Against the Odds, but in paper! I loved this one! Carl was having so much fun. The edits were funny and on pt too. Content Idea: Go back to doing user submitted decks. Card Market does this from time to time, but mix it up. Play BOTH decks user submitted rather than 1 vs the meta. That way a community member always wins a deck.

And it's always cool to see weird and unusual decks be played that are surprisingly effective, maybe you could do some user-submitted decks again? I know this is two months old at this point, but just in case anyone cares; A regular D6 has opposite sides that add up to 7. So if you're looking to go from 3 to 4, or reverse, they're directly opposite each other. 1 and 6, 2 and 5, 3 and 4.

Great content as always😉👍🏻 One thing to point out. In game one Carl should of had one more turn. Each time he cast Weather the Storm, they only counted the Storm count. You gain 3 life from the spell itself too. So Carl should of gained a total of 9 more life the first game.

Back on phyrexia I made an artisan standard deck based on proliferate and poison counters, because I love the mechanic. But this deck with the prisms and the depletion lands is a lot more fun. I love it

Gonna have to agree here. Poison storm may seem like a meme at first but pauper decks are very slow and poison storm attacks on an axis that most decks can’t interact with. Against those decks poison storm has an auto-win

I've got a version of Mono Blue Infect/Proliferate for Modern. It's not as fast as versions that rely on pump spells to pull away quickly but my god once it gets going it snowballs so fast. It's a blast. And the backup plan is hilarious Levitating Statue getting massive casting Treasure Mage searching for Soul Conduit and flipping life totals and killing them with a huge flyer.

Proliferate with Pentad Prism and the depletion lands is actually really scary! Being able to cast "free" spells or keeping 2-mana lands on the board seems quite strong.

What I’ve learned trying to make a poison deck is that easy to make a bad poison deck. There are many different ways to give someone poison counters that you’re temped to mix them, while it’s better to go heavy in to way specific way to give your opponent poison counters.

Maybe thrumming bird in the sideboard for the proliferate deck, then when the opponent sides out all their removal, you side in thrumming bird to fight for the initiative/monarch and still prolifirate.

Karl, that deck has legs. I would love to see it played again. You should stick with it. Consider trying Waxmane Baku in the deck, the only other common that could add mana while you're going off. I can't think of a lot of spirit or arcane cards that would work well with it - maybe Ideas Unbound or Peer Through Depths - but you'd only need one to get it going. Also, repeatedly proliferating The Modern Age could be a big game!

I learnt from the master of this kind of deck: Kalikaiz. It's important to not fall into the trap of going for the poison counter too early and to develop the counters on your mana and prism first. If I had gone for the poison spell, I would have a prism and a land that die after I use them :)
