At least the rares deck triumphed over the mythics when the lucky Mana Crypt streak finally came to an end on the 8th "coin flip". The odds of winning 7 "coin flips" in a row are 1/128, and it would've been 1/256 for 8 in a row if that final die roll was also odd.

Because of the comparisons I hear, I'm actually wondering if something more resembling a Vintage deck would be able to stand up to an actual modern YuGiOh deck, with some inclusions from this video's deck of course.

Feels like the common deck has a decent matchup with the rare one if they did 2 out of 3 I'm not super familiar with that things have been printed at Mythic, but the amount of self-harm having one ring, mana vault, and mana crypt seems way too high unless the rest of the deck is built to close out the game in the first couple of turns. Turn 5+ seems just too long to be dropping those in multiples. Malone just got super lucky with his crypt rolls for a really long time.

Amusing that they're not using the upshifted or downshifted cards for this. Though it really would give a huge advantage to some of the decks, I guess. Scratch that for the Mythics game. As uncommons and rares would have had access to some of those powerful cards. (Also, Mythics wouldn't have access to a few things. )
