9:35 the caption reads "Recording your conversation" while you're saying "Installation of speaker and mic wiring" and I like the featured example 🤣

Glad that these worked out for you guys on the trip and the audio did sound good and clear in the clip. I have a pair of JBL studio monitors in my set up and am very pleased with them. Thanks for the review Peter. 👍😎

Great video and an awesome tip for recording. What Tascam unit did you use?

Nice job. I've used this method to record and monitor audio from a chase vehicle and it works well. Though, I also wire my own mics into helmets and mount an RF transmitter to record separately for some of my projects. Also, you may find it more comfortable to place the boom mic arm between the cheek pad and EPS liner of the helmet. The cheek pad should pop off with a few snaps.

Looks great Peter and glad to hear they worked really well on your road trip :)

Taping 3rd party equipment to your helmet sounds like a guaranteed way to Schumacher yourself, but that's actually a quite neat setup.

I wish Cardo would add the Packtalk Bold to the recently introduced Intercom Recording feature

John thank you for this video. I know a couple who are bikers. The lady told me it is a challenge to communicate while on the road, this is going to make her summer rides so much better, if she gets this audio rig. 👍 Update: They have this rig.

Could you use a splitter to keep from requiring a third unit?
@PetervonGommJAPAN Жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! And I thought about that after using the third unit. It’s worth experimenting

Do you think you could use the cheaper Cardo Spirit to be the recording device instead of spending more on the bold?

Based on the short interesting audio clip, the documentary should be good. Thanks for the review.

Yeah battery life was the biggest letdown, also when you do not power them off, they stay on indefinitely until the battery is empty, I will stil uses it for tours, but for daily driving I went back to a Nolan N-COM with auto power off/on based on a motion sensor. Sound quality is really nice though, best in class I would say and the mic is also quite usable.

They only loaned you the units? Man most motovloggers get them from cardo as a promotional unit because of the numbers of viewers they will get from the vlog. Kind of disappointing. Good video though keep it up Peter.
@PetervonGommJAPAN2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally agree! For whatever reason this local office here wouldn’t give us the units - I think that’s part of their policy. Had we used Cardo USA I think we would’ve gotten them for free. That’s OK will be bugging them again on the next ride - gifting us a set will be a condition-

Using a third unit for recording is not a workaround but a deal breaker. What a horrid system

Proprietary microphone plug is unacceptable. No "audio hack"would be necessary

Entertaining -- don’t understand any of the technology, though. And, would never be on a bike in the near future 🙂
