I've been over Sena for about 2 years now. The 20S was the best Sena unit I've owned, but it was all downhill from there. Since then I've had a 50 series, SRL and SRL-Mesh. All of them had issues. The SRL and SRL-Mesh both had to be replaced by warranty. The last straw was Sena forcing me to pay return shipping on the SRL-Mesh, which was only about 3 months old. Since then I have had a Cardo PackTalk Black and Edge. Both have been much better, zero issues. The software is much better, too. I'm not sure if you can update the latest Sena model firmware via their mobile app, but that was the biggest perk of Cardo in terms of software. Either way, Sena was way behind in terms of software. The only good thing Sena has going for it is using the same parent company as Cardo for speakers. So in terms of audio quality, it may be about even these days.

Yes, the sena app does everything cardo does including the firmware update

Great video. Thanks

There are 2 bluetooth channels on the Cardo. You are supposed to be able to connect to a BT enabled action cam and record voice on the recording directly from the Cardo. The recording feature in the app can be used in place of a separate mic.

Not quite. Only a few cams, not my DJI, and then you can’t use it for music. And it’s not full quality as using a dedicated mic for the cam is.

My first is a Cardo Pro. Great sound, using earplugs and still more then sufficient volume. The Pro is more expensive but I really do like the automatic on/off feature and the bigger speakers; worth the additional money in my opinion. The 'Hey cardo' and 'Hey google' both work perfectly even at high speeds. Listening to Tunein using mobile internet and mobile app, which is started and stopped by voice, even voice can be used to select my favorite station on starting tunein app. So in all, very satisfied with the cardo although I found it a bit pricey (but that may also because I'm Dutch) 🙂 and yes, the magnetic connect and the disconnect without fiddling with cables is a must have on these things.

If it’s your first, how do you know the larger speakers are worth it ;)
@ictelligent9323Ай бұрын
@@TwoWheelObsession I know because I asked my wife, and she knowns everything, and even always knows better 🙂And the real answer is, I compared with my friends setup having the 40mm speakers.

Exact same helmet and size?
@ictelligent9323Ай бұрын
@@TwoWheelObsession Not 'exact'. One was size XXXL and the other XS...a tight fit :-) But really, virtually same size but different brands, de 45mm JBLs have more bass and volume/surround what I noticed. Might be because of brand difference of helmets (in same price range), but I doubt it. What does matter is the location of the speakers.
@TwoWheelObsessionАй бұрын
lol then you are just guessing. I'm sure they are very nice, but unless that's the ONLY thing changed in a comparison, you don't know.

Had Sena 10 series (2 of them)...couldn't justify the price considering I never used the comms. I found Syphon SoundPro, Bluetooth for half the price and man I can tell you if you want Bass...these speakers provide! They even have built in mic, so I don't need to strap anything into front of helmet (and it works surprisingly well).

I considered some of the ultra cheap units, but there are times, when I need coms - it's just rare.

Try the bass feature it does work well..

It will be. It’s not out yet.

Cardo imho makes the best units, Sena units are not even technically water proof, cardo will warranty for water damage, even the Neo meets the same waterproof level. Also you can upgrade the speakers, all packtalk units have more wattage than their stock speakers can handle, aftermarket speakers that are twice as loud are like 40 bucks.
@MightyMouzMoto14 күн бұрын
The new Packtalk Pro is supposed to be much louder. Prob is it's about $100 more with tax

My problem is the oversized speakers that don't fit my, or most helmets. Non-starter.
