Cardo Spirit VS Moto A2 Plus! The Best Budget Motorcycle Bluetooth Intercom?

I've got a Sena 20S Evo and am looking at options to talk with my dad (rider) and my aunt (pillion, currently) at the same time without spending a ton of money. I came across your channel and just love the editing and humor you use. Even the sponsored advertisement was, as my aunt would say, "...a hoot!"

I used a1 at first.. den upgraded to a2.. so far its ok n affordable.. n yes.. u can talk to pillion n listening to song at the same time..

Not sure how better moto A2 compared to moto A1.. But I had the moto A1 before, the speaker was horrible with ear deafening cracking sound. Using the Spirit right now and I think it's best bang for your money. The recent software update makes it even better!

have tried the moto A2 plus, cannot hear pillion above 100km/hr. currently using vimoto v9x, very good quality. around 190$SGD from taobao.

Please test out on full face helmets for consistency. I believe there will be less noise interference especially for moto a2 plus in full face helms.

I'm using the Moto BC1 camera + BT set, with my modular helmet. The camera for a sub-$200 is amazing! I got a sample clip (night ride) on my channel. I haven't test the intercom function though

As the connection made via bluetooth, if you lose connection, do you need to pairing again? Or it can smoothly auto reconnect? Assuming i connect spirit to edge

I think it's better to buy a pair of identical units. That way you can just swap them when you're on a long solo ride and the battery dies.

@@michaelb.42112 If I was in the market for an intercom, the only two I would consider are the Sena SMH-10 and the Cardio Packtalk (whatever the newest one is called). Every other Sena is crap, and the rest of the Cardos are not worth the money. SMH-10 is cheap and old, but it works perfectly, and you can get them used. Cardo is really expensive (especially if you buy two) but it seems to have all the features that are worth paying for (large groups, loud speakers, cross brand pairing, magnet mount) except for open mesh, which is a Sena exclusive.

@@slakk5093 Thanks. Yeah, it works for me. I like it a lot better than carrying a battery in my pocket, and running a USB to my helmet. I've never ridden long enough to kill the battery on one with a passenger, but I do it all the time solo.

Hi. Great video. Question: putting the A2 onto it's holder, it clicks into position. Can it be removed easily for charging, or does it have to be charged while on the helmet? I cannot find English instructions, and I am afraid I may break it pulling it off the bracket, if it is not supposed to be removed. Thank you

Is there a system that mounts on bike permanently and hard wired into motorcycle harness so all i have to do is switch ignition on and it connects to 1 or more headsets with a function that allows me through my phone connect in to the system so my phone is connected ? Instead of battery operated helmet mount

For the price it's good. Audio-wise cant fight Cardo, Sena, but it's better than other China ones. I use A2 Pro on my pillion helmet, while main helmet use BC1 model, the one with camera. Both pairs well and can communicate pretty clear

I will not watch this episode because I have been there... done that. The most important thing to know is....NONE of these units are a stand alone unit. You .."MUST" have a smart phone for it to work properly. I have a dumb phone flip phone. I tried 2 different companies and neither would work correctly. Only about 2 options would work. Nothing else. No Smart phone...NO WORKY!! 🤔

Actually thats if ure listening to music. I think you can still connect to a pillion or a felloe rider if youre riding together, even without a smart phone!

@@tri333ple I could play music, but it would not change channels. You could returne the last call you made manually on your phone. That was it. I tried for a few days for hours and hours different things. I only had one unit, as I ride alone. I don't need that to talk to myself. 🤣 And I can answer myself too.🤪 Thanks. You are just ass u ming. I would not do that. both companies recommended them to me, but when I told them what happened... or didn't happen, they had nothing to say. Cardo was one of them. packtalk I think. It would not do anything with the voice commands either. Both companies would not answer me about anything either way. They did not want to say their product would not work with a dumb phone. I could also receive phone calls. thanks. 🥰
