I personally run 15 traptrix monsters. 3 Myr, Mantis, Pudica, Arac; 2 Dio; 1 Vesi. I understand and agree with the reasoning behind 1 Dio, but it really helps to have 2 in the grind game. I run more monsters just to ensure I can get to Sera. I've had times where my starting hand consists of no monsters, and I'm forced to just set 3-4 and pass turn. You only really need 1 trap in hand as Mantis and Myr can get you to Sera and Rafl.

Not sure if this is what you meant, but evenly forced the PLAYER to banish FD it doesn't affect the monsters at all, meaning the traptrix ED monsters do not get to just ignore evenly unfortunately. But usually just keeping your sera or rafflesia can still get you through the turn

Absolutely delicious video to go with some fresh coffee, and great list!! I've personally been running 2 Dionea because it's never really dead with a Link 1 in the deck and the Field spell to give you that extra normal summon. So as a trap/grindy deck I've found myself many times in simplified boardstates where I've already used 1 Dionea and a Normal summon for mantis -> searching Dionea actually creates access to 3 Bodies to restart some plays. So yeah I can see 1 being awesome, but I like 2 👌

Great deck profile! I'd argue that Exceed is great and, in response to the worry of bricking on it, I like to think of it like this: Removing Exceed doesn't increase or decrease consistency, it just changes what you can brick on and shifts the deck's power ceiling. But Exceed itself is able to make the boards Nibiru-proof and help allow for easier OTKs and board set-ups. Not to mention, you only have a 3.54% chance of opening two Exceeds in any given hand.

I haven't played yuguoh locals in almost 20 years. I decided last week to jump back in with this structure deck. Only got one win last week, but injust picked up 3 copies of parallel exceed and a redoer last night to add in. I'm currently trying tooling my deck to be a rank 4 spam list, so I included the shade brigadines along with 3 holeutea. I've found I can consistently get to Sera and Rafflesea, but with a Parallel i should be able to get redoer out turn 1 as well. Can't wait to run this tomorrow night.

Probably worth a mention for the budget side of things, Imperm is in the Cyber Strike Structure Deck which (if you can find it) costs around the same $10 mark, -and also comes with Lightning Storm- (and also the whole Cyberdark line-up if you care).

Your extra deck monsters are unaffected by traps yes, but evenly matched affect the player, not the monsters! So your monsters will still be banished! Though there are a lot of other ways to play arround it

my ratios is different. After playtesting i like, 3 Myr, Pudica. 2 Mantis, Arac Dio, and 1 Vesi. I do play 3 Prosperity for consistency. but its so i dont open 4 normal summons, and none of the lesser impactful starters

Good list! i personnally run 3 exceed and 3 brigandine, because with holetea and arachno it's 12 extenders that can trigger Sera turn one. So if i draw them and get ash or imperm on my normal summon i can just make Sera and then extend. Holetea needs a trap in that scenario but it's good for other scenario anyway. Exceed works with the new xyz traptrix wich is able to use its effect turn 1 immediatly, and search arachno for example. But i don't know how to decide if it's better to play around ash/imperm or to bluid deck without potential bricks. They are true bricks only if you draw them without any traptrix, so it seems ok... ?

The reason for double Dionaea is because at one, You Will draw her sometimes, that is unavoidable, and then You Will have none in the deck for special summon.

No problem! And no! That doesn’t sound dumb at all, the only thing you would need to do is play more 3 of’s in your extra deck that way you don’t banish important engine cards. Definitely a fine budget option as well ☕️

I use 3 rikka princess and 2 rikka glamour. I use the rank 4 rikka queen Strenna xyz but I don't use teardrop rikka xyz as it is $30 for it and all it does is you get to trubute it but targets.... No! I use Sacred Tree xyz or Fairy Knight Ingunar. Sacred Tree is a true MVP by shutting off opponents plays. Got to be careful with Fairy Knight Ingunar as it is just a field reset. Opponent will be able to reuse effects but hopefully it is just an established extra deck board reset and you can otk hopefully.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you can bounce your opponents card back to the top of the deck with time thief redoer by detatching holeutea because hoteutea says "this card is NOT treated as a trap". I believe detaching the holeutea would activate time thiefs first affect being as it's treated as a monster.

Holeutea counts as a trap when attached to Redoer because a card's effect is not considered while it is xyz material, meaning Holeutea would count as a trap.

To be honest, In this build, the only out is setting impermanence in the same column to turn it off during your turn. Then you can get a chance to either pop it with myrmeleo or a board wipe like exciton/ Zeus. Technically another way u could, would be IF you have evenly matched and you can nibiru them. If the token would be larger than your nibiru (3100 ATK or more) You can summon the token on their felid in attack mode, then on your turn, crash your nibiru into the token, then your feild will be empty and when you end the BP, you can activate evenly matched from your hand. Tokens CANT be banished face Down, so they will be forced to banish everything else INCLUDING that skill drain they have up. Kind of a niche scenario, but it’s something ☕️ I’d definitely commit some outs to the side deck going into game 2/3

The drawback is that its a brick if you don't open a monster. If you have a lot of monsters, its good, but then you have to contend with the fact that you have a lot of monsters in your hand. I prefer having 3-4 traps in hand which makes parallel exceed hard to use.

Traptrix is ​​probably a good rogue deck control. But no more than that… Labrynth and Eldlich are much better in my opinion. For consistency, for recycling of materials and for the fact that they can duel without the extradeck. Without extradeck you can use "Pot of Extravagance", "Elder Entity N'tss" and "Punishment Dogmatika" without fear of banning your useful links and XYZs or block extradeck summons until the end of the next turn like in Traptrix.

ive seen alot of videos of labryth losing to traptrix. i think both are very good but traptrix bosses are immune to traps

@@sussychachi Ah sure, I don't doubt it. It also depends on luck. Just today I beat a Spright-Evil Twin deck with my Dark Magician... It counts the fact that I know both decks well because I play them, but it was above all the good hand that came out and the fact that I set the field before Spright laid down the pandemonium. It's true that a control deck against another control deck (Lab vs Traptrix) it's obvious that the one who starts has already set the field to stop the opponent.

Making coffee in a carafe or a mocha pot would be a little nicer of an intro tbh. Not hating but I think it would up the intro game.
