NX2306 CAM What's New - Automatic Turning Tool Holder Collision Shape Creation

This NX CAM video demonstrates the new functionality in Siemens NX 2306 for Manufacturing.
Now NX automatically computes the tool shape for solid turning tools during collision checking.
This makes collision checking easier and more reliable.
Previously Tool holder collision checking only worked when the 2D tool shape had been created and assigned to layer 3. Now it is automatically computing the holder shape and creates the necessary 2D shape of the holder shape.
If there is a holder shape defined (legacy case), the system takes the specified 2D shape on layer 3 during tool path generation for collision checking.
If there is no holder shape defined, the system creates the shape on the fly during tool path generation for collision checking.
User gets informed by the system when a IPW against holder collision happened. The message contains the collided pairs.
