This is absolutely beautiful!! I am a classical musician and genealogist in the US and just wrote a short article about the Marienmunster and the von Diessen family for a German historical page on which I am a member. My mother and father were descendants of English colonists to America who were landed aristocrats and descended, through English and French lines, from Adelheid von Diessen (died 1126), daughter of Otto II von Diessen, Count of Wolfratshausen and Diessen, and wife of Count Berengar von Sulzbach. . all documented in records from my parents back through England into Germany. It’s a wonderful family history for Americans and so proud of it. My von Diessen ancestors were buried here at the Marienmunster and I thank you for sharing this wonderful video!

I did a few videos in english but it was not worth the effort. Nobody was watching them. So I turned back to german. Maybe in the future I will switch again to english. Would be good to keep me practice :-)

Thank you for this. I'm not usually moved by churches, but this one is special. Its effect on me is not easily described. Surprising to see a church so superficially ornate which nonetheless is understated when you are physically in it.
