Is the radiation dose in a pelvic CT higher with contrast than without contrast ?

Typically dose is the same or lower with contrast but depends on the site’s protocol

Great channel for learning and Thank you for your reply One last question,if a pelvic ct is to look at the inguinial canal for a possible hernia would it be possible to see this without contrast? And is it true that dna damage due to absorbtion of the cells is greater with contrast?
