Hey, I'm pursuing B.tech in Chemical Engineering(4th yr) from VIT VELLORE. Hello Debajyoti, usually there is no criteria. The employers are always interested to know that if there was a gap, why was it. If you are able explain/write on your resume about the gap years, it always makes your case stronger. Think it as a case when you go to buy a car , we always like to buy the current year model. If the car is older years then was it fully maintained. We should not compare ourselves to cars, but to give you an idea the interviews are where employers have a shopping mindset. Hope that helps ! No, don't do that. If in future u want to go into Bussiness field, then choose commerce subjects or general degrees like btech. Don't go for specialization if you don't even have interest in the field. Bcoz, once u get into a certain stream in bachelors, most of the time the chances r u'll remain stuck woth the subject in future. Wish you luck!
