What is the difference between informatics / analytics vs registry? I’m interested in cancer registry and already have a 2 year degree so may give this a go. But what does informatics or data analytics require or how is it different

I recommend you check out the AHIMA Career Map. They have the sectors separated for you along with associated jobs. This should help you get a better idea of what sector you want to focus on. Each of these sectors deal with managing health information in some way. The differences are based on the type of data being managed, the tools being used, and other factors.

Thank you for supporting the channel! To answer your question, there isn't a difference between the two. The terms are interchangeable. They both have the same CTR certification requirement.

@@ThriveNetwork8 Tumor is cancer; which is divided into two sections; benign-non cancer and malignant-cancer itself, I believe. Just my 2 cents. Hence CTR, and CR, as mentioned are interchangeable, same thing.
