Interpreters. Interpreting requires social understanding. You need to know the nuance of the languages. Additionally with ASL specifically (my major) you can't have a robot sign. You need the right handshapes, movements, facial expressions, etc. You also have to know the background of who you're interpreting for. No way technology could replace interpreters. It's unfortunate that the website you reference groups them in with translators, which are different jobs and have different requirements which are typically easier to automate.

@@409raul why do employers require colledge university(colledge baord ap classes sorta stuff can replace colledge for some universitiy programs)? its just debt and demoralization of truely problem solving people, which companies have to pay for. they hire contractors without rquring coledge universty, but benefit of being a employee an dnot contractor, is to haev company pay for insurance, manage funds in 401k sort of stuff , and get payed when there isnt much to do. etc. they can simply have someone do industry certificates (much more practical stuff to learn) , have a record of start and end time and test score, then people compete to learn as much as possible in little time as possible. teaching will be mostly automatic generated questions, classes can be totally automatic with maybe hire per use tutors who also see reports of automation dysfunction given by students (maybe they should pay to report to prevent trash posting from wasting time). theyll be online courses that give hints to guide toward right answer while requiring problem solving (to make the learning more memorable) and feedback , with a focus on how learning formulas work (at least just to make it interesting thus easy to learn) and being able to apply them in multi formula problems. tests can be administered in person by renting office space etc but coudl also be done by computers with spyware everyone is aware of, including 360 degree camera, microphone, etc, just for online testing for the few days it takes to get a computer, do a version of the test, and send it back by amazon delivery. aws snowball, etc already does a similar thing with their cloud services, legal consequences for people who damage product, etc.

No one has answered this question or even brought it up. Automation seems to be self terminating. if automation replaces a large portion of jobs, then there isn't enough revenue for the population to buy the products and services the automation creates. Are the creators of automation so short sighted they haven't thought of this? Or maybe they dont care? How can they not? Getting rid of the entire workforce lets you keep all the money for yourselves, except, there's no money coming in or at most it's a small trickle. No one, but no one in all of KZbin or in the comments sections of these videos has brought up this seemingly obvious issue. I must be missing something about which everyone else knows. As a whole, I feel like eventually almost all jobs will be automated or replaced with AI. Ignoring ethical questions regarding AI, artificial intelligence has the potential to do anything, just due to the fact that every task can be boiled down to simpler tasks or patterns, which can be easily done by robots. Sure, a robot might not be able to make a good painting if you don't give it any further instruction or if it doesn't have any prior knowledge, but if you give it a single description, like the genre, it can ideally look through every single piece in the genre and output a good painting based on similarities in the painting. The ONLY jobs that can't be automated are niche jobs where people's lives aren't on the line (ex, lawyers and doctors) and consistent interaction with people is required, such as a therapist. However, that's specifically because of the fact that we as people have an illogical preference towards realistic, human interaction. As soon as practicality becomes priority, every job is at risk.

I disagree. AI, machine learning, computer vision, etc. will become so advanced that all jobs could be automated, no matter how much creative/social intelligence, perception/manipulation, etc. Even artists and healthcare professionals. The only thing that makes a human different than an AI is flaws, so at some point there will be no job that a computer can't do better and more efficiently. The software developers will also automate themselves out of jobs. The laws will only prevent paramedics from being replaced by robots until the president and congress are automated. This all sounds crazy, but Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Facebook already own our asses so it's not REALLY that big of a stretch. I believe this enough that I forecast a future where humans themselves will be replaced by automation. People are selfish enough to try to upload their consciousness, memories, thought patterns, etc. into a robot-body if they think it'll allow them to live forever.

I work in Robotic Process Automation team (Junior assistant/ Still studying) in European equivalent to F50. Most automation happens at Logistics, Finance and procurement departments. Statistics seem wrong, or at least the approach of looking at things. Look. We don't automate positions, we don't automate finance, logistics or procurement jobs. We automate the most repetitive tasks that are easily automatable. What happens is that those departments get rid of their most junior people, but jobs in itself aren't being automated, it is just the competition gets tougher in the pool, because juniors won't be doing typical "copy paste, order this order that" type of tasks. The good side of automation is that jobs/areas that have the most automation have an increased happiness in the job, because people do less repetitive/mundane/miserable tasks.

I am pretty sure that physicists and mathematicians will probably not be replaced soon, since we need those people to find new information about the universe and theory. Probably not likely that any teachers for those subjects will ever be replaced by machines, either, since people need them to teach the kids and younger generations in general.

ChatGPT can do that already...

It depends, do you think people will be comfortable with a programmed robot handling their money, I am not so sure. Also keep in mind their was a panic about this years ago and nothing can of it.

Alexandre Estanislau99 So you are bitter on Doctors... This makes no sense, why would you want Doctors to be automated just out of spite. Will seeing somebody else suffer make you feel better.?! You are twisted bro :(

ai will eventually replace a portion of these jobs, and there will be less demand causing many to lose their jobs

But AI is great for self study, you know? Although robots can never replace teachers or educators, but they can teach you step by step subjects like math and science. Wolfram Alpha and mathPapa saved me from high school, and now you have chat GPT.

Careers that will never be automated? Pretty much any career that doesn't have a repeatable formula. If the job you do has many, many factors that constantly shift the process of the job, it won't be automated.
