I have some questions: 1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate). 2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role 3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies 4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years* *Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*

This is going to be a long comment so sorry in advance but I just need everyone to know how amazing this video is ☺ I am someone who has always struggled with job interviews. I got so incredibly nervous, freeze up, forget what to say but after discovering this channel it has changed all that. Once I knew I had a job interview coming up, I watched this mock interview on REPEAT on the days leading up to it, it helped me structure my answers properly and clearly and really helped with how I deliver my answers. I woke up on the day of my interview calm, confident and READY to walk in there and DO IT. I was told a few days ago that I GOT THE JOB 💪If you're someone who has had repeated "Nos" after interviews I know how horrible that feeling is and it can be the hardest thing ever to pick yourself up and try again. YOU CAN DO IT. Just commiting time into practising/preparing when you get the "Yes" it's the best feeling ever. Watch as much of this channel as you can and it will work, I promise! 😃

Another tip is do not try to memorize what he is saying, just take key ideas and answers and combine them with your own ideas and experience. Because if you try to say exactly what he's saying, you can forget some part in the interview

Sad that you have to practice how to suck up to people just to earn a living. Majority of people hiring are employees themselves, should be that you have the skills, and are the first one there. There are so many career coaches and so much advice floating around that I just end up giving a hot mess of an interview. Besides, I've noticed that Americans tend to give the advice of making your answers very specific, and giving loads of proof as stories. I've tried doing that and giving so much information just makes me sound scattered and its harder to convince the interviewer. Richards answers are very well articulated and concise, he just hits the nail on the head! I like his content so much because even if you don't have great accomplishments or stories, you can always use his brilliant answers to convince the employer.

I recently decided to change paths and pursue a career when the lockdown was instigated. I studied for months, achieved everything I needed to, and started having my first formal Interviews. I failed 7 of them... with a little progress each time but it wasn't until I found this video that I have officially secured a job! Thank you very much. I feel my the worst mistake I made during an interview is during the interview I was “waiting for the interview to start.” The recruiter was asking me general questions about my life & my background but since the recruiter seemed so friendly & informal, I gave very vague answers & would not elaborate further. In my head I was waiting for interview to start & trying to save my answers. Next thing I know the interview was over and I did not explain any skills or my qualification, little did I know the interview started the second recruiter was making small talk.
