That’s when you open your bail and let boater take all your line with him. We had guy do that when trolling. 12 boats following each other in long circle and he kept cutting across everyone’s lines. I had 90 lb. With big pike bobber I threw out he took every bit of it. Half hour later everyone was hollering and blowing horns as coast guard towed him back up the river from Lake Michigan

The plural of boater is boaters. You don’t need an apostrophe. Learn how to spell and how to use proper grammar and people will take your comments more seriously, instead of thinking that you dropped out of school in the third grade.

Idk, as the man on the boat, not sure what could have gone better, unless he had a pair of binos to see what you were doing. But you'd probably have a video about, "weird boater spies on us with binos".

I was fishing along the river Thames in London, a small boat purposely came across the river to snag my line, the guy looked right at me as his tiny boat with an outboard motor crossed my line, got tangled around the motor but must not of touched the blades. As I reeled in I saw his outboard motor rise a little, my line held and I was able to reel him in. His face was so scrunched up with rage, his lady friend was laughing so hard at him. His ego was clearly damaged, and he started shouting that I had caused him more time and he would be late. I was only young and luckily a guy passing saw the entire thing and told the guy it was his fault.

My husband and I were fishing yesterday (in our bass boat). We were in the river, calm day, no one in site. We were close to the bank and out of nowhere this speed boat comes through and parked RIGHT BESIDE us. They kept making large wakes and I almost fell into the water. The ENTIRE RIVER they had to go. They chose to start wake boarding beside us….the only other people on the Saint John’s River. People are ignorant!

Yeah one time my brother accidentally drove over a guys line. Clogged the motor like nothing you’ve seen. We were over a wreck at the time. he felt bad about his mistake so he got on a life jacket and jumped in to fix it. I had to watch for sharks, and took about 10 for him to fix it.

As an owner of a prop shop, it is not worth it to open your bail up and let them have your line. It would be a waste of your line bc it's not hard to take that line off a propeller shaft. At the end of the day, it would be more of your loss than the boaters loss. Also, the boater is in the right away in this situation.

Feel this pain… couple of friends and I were fishing and one of my friends had hooked into a 40 pound carp that took 200 yards of line in about 2 minutes of fighting. As soon as the fight took a turn for the better a drunk boat driver drove right past our lines and not only broke the fish of our lives off but snagged the rest of our rods. Truly infuriated to see how many idiots there are that have boats.

Had that happened quite often. Had a boat tried to beach so they can drop their clients off. Ended up hitting 4 to 6 rod I know it hit few 12/0 9/0 and a 80w but these reel are loaded with 80 to 200lb braids. We flashed the spotlight at them and hollared them too. Almost ended up in a fight. But decided to cool it and helped that guy out, his prop was full of line had to take the prop off. It a common issues. I highly recommend do shark fishing at night. Less prop foul less boat but still can happen
