Join us as we reflect on CareSparc Community Connections' Free Fresh Produce Market for Seniors and Families, a program launched in 2019 to address food insecurity and promote wellness in Newark's East and Central Ward neighborhoods. Rooted in CCC's philosophy that Food is Medicine, this initiative combines access to fresh, nutritious produce with a holistic approach to health by connecting participants to healthcare and community resources.
This program, delivered in partnership with pre-selected subsidized senior and family housing communities, ensures low-income residents can access the essentials needed to thrive.
Over the past six months, it has been supported by the Prudential Community Grant Program and contributions from other funders, passionate volunteers, and dedicated community and health resource partners.
