I think you need the trait to be active before you can get a chance at getting a crest

I think if the trait isn't active before the stage augments are *presented, it doesn't give you that option.

From what I saw in his gameplay videos, he usually makes sure he has the Pyro trait + other two traits active before the round with the augments is presented on screen. If he doesn't have three traits active (the pyro one being one of them), he has no chance of getting it.

Its so wierd how sometimes you happened to get the ghost trait emblems(ones who arent active) as options to choose for augments but the ones you have arent. I guess its all about min maxing your most flexible angle against a promised vertical push
