When I teach this I don't say the "federal government runs a deficit." I say "Congress" runs a deficit. I do this because I want to emphasize that congress is in charge of spending. Do you think that is correct. I also do it because on a PowerPoint it is easier to write Congress than "The Federal Government .

Yeah absolutely. I love to try to emphasize that these are decisions being made by some people as opposed to the vague faceless entity known as "government"

I think you made a mistake when you said around 5:38 that, "in 2022 the US government is projected to pay about 305 trillion dollars in interest." I think that's Billion with a B.
