Excellent review on a great car. I have a 2016 MIni Cooper S , 2 door and I love it. Just a blast to drive. Even the base 1.5 Ltr 3 cylinder is really nice. We do NOT get the diesel in Canada. The JCW is amazing but too expensive for my pocket.

I love the front on this car! Feels like a classic Jag. So a Jag is not a Mini and a Mini is not a Jag...but I like the nose on this New Mini. The lights, not so much. I want to see an amber turn signal separated in the housing. I like that it is just a little bigger but I would make it law that it not grow any more, north or south, east or west!

I think you must do a group test to have bigger audience... something like Veyron VS. Huyara or vs. Laferrari or something very special. I know it's very hard to test those cars (if it's possible at all ;o) but... I just can't stand seeing so low publicity on this channel, which is In my top 3 of car-reviewing channels on YT.

JOEM747 Heh I've seen probably their all! I know they made Huyra and CX75 and so on, but still- it needs something like the Autoblog's R8 V10, Lambo Gallardo, Veyron and S1000rr which hit 12 mln views. Ok, i'm not an expert in it, but it seems so!

Im hoping someone can awnser my question. Is a mini cooper a good car for a teenage driver? If so which kind? I know someone told me not to get the Mini Cooper S cause the S stands for sport and I don't want that. Is a mini cooper a reliable car for a teenager to drive?

Just Google "mini cooper reliability" although from what I have read it is not so great. Add to that that they are made by BMW which means the parts are going to be much more expensive relatively. Personally, I would pick something cheaper and maybe a little bit bigger (depending on where you live) for a first car - what about a Honda Fit or a Ford Fiesta (or a Focus for a bigger option)? That said, Minis are supremely fun and cool little cars, and although they are too costly for most teenagers, if you can afford it I'm sure it would make you happy.

I own a mini cooper s r53 and seeing all the "new minis" like the r56 and this one i cant help it think that all the magic is gone. Minis are not supposed to be luxurious and full of technology like touch screens and heated seats and parking sensors etc.. they are supposed to be simple. every time i get into a mini (i have driven all the models available) i want to feel that it's me and the car. i don't want a fancy traction control system, a lane keeping assistant and a soft suspension. i want a simple, SMALL "race" car and from all the minis i have driven only the r53 gives me that feeling (that's why i bought it of course). and to comment on what the guy in the video said "this is an upgrade on the original design"...well it isn't really. i mean it's an upgrade of the upgrade of the upgrade. somewhere along that line the magic was lost and in my opinion the r53 is the only mini that can still stand for the "MINI" logo. call me old fashioned but the last good mini was the r53. the rest are nonsense. minis should be about the car enthusiast not the daily driver. that's my opinion at least.

nicholas dracopoulos I agree with your opinion nicholas, I am driving MINI R56 with very simple extras. MINIs are supposed to be simple, but the market want's them to be universal in order to make more profit. Well, the good thing about MINI's is, that you can customize it however you want it to be. whether it's simple, sporty or luxury. Those "upgrades" are fortunately not a must.

Goodbye mini. The last mini that shares a bit of the classic is the 1st generation mini. Overall they were the most reliable and also designed by Rover. Well for the rest, sorry they don't stand a chance starting with the body 2nd the horrible Peugeot engine and so on. The 3rd generation, couldn't think they can get even worst. Please do not call it anymore mini, it's an offense to the original. Better call it a new version of a 107.
