Never do we intentionally hang out on the redline so its sounding more like an apeal thing and less like a performance thing. Am i getting that right?

electromechanical stuff think you will find due to the high torque figures generated by these Diesel engines the wheels are just spinning and not gaining traction. People are leaving the engines at redline until the cars finally gain speed. To explain the spinning wheels are travelling at say the equivalent of 30mph at redline 1st gear but because the power isn’t being putdown the whole of the vehicle is doing less than the speed of the tyres

The light will be on on most any car with mods because it's a different amount of fuel/ air going in and out of the engine than the ecu is used to and it throws a code. Main equation for power is more fuel+more air+less resistance= more power
