What deminsions did you go with toliet / shower area?

The wall is offset by 36 inches for the shower pan plus 3 1/2 inches for the frame of the wall itself. So almost 40 inches. It’s plenty of space for the shower and toilet we have in there and still allows for there to be plenty of room in the kitchen. If you watch the update video I did after I have all the major builds finished you can see just how much room there is in the kitchen. Hope that helps!

Can you provide a description/link for your wall covering? Thank you.

Paint inside the fridge space with Red Guard. That will waterproof it. Especially the back of your shower wall inside there. And, I’d insulate between the studs in the fridge area. Might make for a warmer shower. Did this mod to an older trailer I had years ago.

Stumble on your channel since I’m in the market for a RV. The sub 30 grand units are poorly constructed on a massive scale in Indiana and usually leak within months of use, and if you want a really really good constructed travel trailer you will be in debt for years (check out the prices of the Black Series). I see everyone raving at the high quality of cargo trailers. Is your aluminum or steel? Did you remove the plywood and reinstall after insulation? What is the size and manufacturer of your trailer? I know...a lot of questions.

Fly Bar glad you found my channel! And I agree we looked at units and were not impressed and none of them were set up how we wanted so we decided to build out our own. To answer your questions the trailer is aluminum. It is a 20x 8.5 trailer with 7 foot ceiling height and a 2 foot v nose. It is from Merica cargo trailers out of Georgia. If you look back earlier in the build series we have on this trailer build you can see the process of installing the insulation. We did reinstall the plywood after we finished. I have to finish uploading the rest of the build as we just moved across the country and I haven’t had time but the build is completely finished and it worked amazingly as an RV. it even survived a torrential downpour without any leaks at all. So far it has been the best investment we have made at only a fraction of the cost of what an actual RV would have cost and the joy of building it and designing and making it our own just adds to the adventure. Feel free to watch the rest of the series I have on my channel about the build and reach out anytime with questions. I would be happy to help.

Wild Schneider Outdoors I forgot to sub...will do that now. I have to see how your build turns out..really like the material you used for the side walls...water proof and light. Really do hope you settle on normal 1970’s still upholstery material that’s used in ALL of today’s RVs....that would be AWESOME...joking...good videos by the way.
