For other viewers, every window installation I'm seeing online recommends adding horizontal framing above and below the vertical studs you cut for the window opening -- and attaching the horizontal framing solidly onto the cut studs as well as the closest full studs on the right and left.

That is always a good idea. In my case I have plenty of support because of the rack system for the solar on top. There is no pressure being applied where I cut for the window. But I fully understand what you are saying. Typically I would have added the cross braces. Thanks for the comment! That's the beauty of everyone sharing!! Have an awesome day.

They make a black butyl tape! Any windshield company has it ! Tremco product

Amazon. I don’t remember the model. They are aluminum framed with tinted glass. I looked back in my purchase history, but unfortunately it won’t let me go back that far. I believe they are 14”x30 but can’t swear to it! If you can’t find them, get back to me and I’ll do some research on it for you. Thanks for watching!!
