Owned mine for about 3 years now. I've worn it in snow storms with layers and it keeps me nice and warm.

Looks like this exact model has been discontinued. Closest would be the new version of the Detroit Jacket but its imported now and the liner looks different.

Only problem with this jacket is that metal button at the sleeve my father and my brothers each had one of these Detroit jackets at some point for construction and welding..doing any sort of metal work like welding with sleeves like this can become an issue as the metal can become super hot ..not recommend for welding or heat ..though other carharrt I myself yes would recommend just be careful of the cuffs roll them up or pull your heat resistant gloves up over your sleeves..

ELAlfa12 0012 I wouldn't. Most water beads up and it may soak up a little but it's always kept me dry. I'd contact Carhartt to see what they'd recommend.

Just use soemthing like carpro cquartz fabric on it if you want it to repel water.

I no longer fit in the jacket but I don’t think I’d size down. It’s a fairly tight and short “cowboy” cut I guess you can call it.

Jus got mine today and it says made in nicaragua and both inside pockets are all wrong. Its also very thin and is very light in weight, it aint the slightest bit stiff, it feels more like something you would get at walmart. Do they have a problem with counterfeit carhartt jackets?

Rowdy Yates I can’t say for sure. Where did you buy it from? It should be labeled as Made In USA in the description when you buy it. I got mine straight from Carhartt. I think they make a different model that looks similar but is imported as well too though.

I guess it depends on the person. It’s a little too warm for me around 60 but I like the cold and just wear a flannel at those temps. It should be ok though.
