Carhartt Mansion Ruins | Riverwalk | Rock Hill, SC

Today we take a leisurely walk down the Riverwalk in Rock Hill, SC to the Carhartt Mansion Ruins. This home was built by the founder of the Carhartt clothing company, Hamilton Carhartt. It fell to ruins after Hamilton and his wife, Nettie, perished in a car crash 1937, only 3 years after it was built.

I was here today for the first time. There are 2 other structures up there you missed

@@getlostwithjustinkris if you walk north not too far from that main structure, there is another stone foundation. If you go west a little there are 3 stone pillars and a foundation, not sure what that may have been.

So I've done a lot of research on the Carhartt mansion but I ended up finding out that where this is isn't the actual mansion it was just there regular house their mansion is farther down the Catawba river and is abandoned now been trying to figure out a legal way to explore the mansion because it's on private property

You can only find coordinates for the mansion I found that belong to the Carhartt's

Very interesting! I did notice the foundation didn't size very mansion-like in regard to its size. I hope you find a way to go visit it! If you do, let us know!

If it is the house near Goat Island, that was demolished recently.
