i think her songs are those type which cannot be "covered" by other artists, no matter how talented they are. the songs are just screaming FIONA and pure artistry. you can't just "copy" that. :)

huh? its pretty simple to sing
@anam10972 жыл бұрын
@@kenjirodriguez1642 it’s not about the singing quality, but the feeling she sings with. her songs are so personal no covers can reach the greatness as her own version of it

You're absolutely right. I have that same thought every now and then. Fiona has GREAT songs and that makes me want to cover them; however, once I start to think about how it could be done, I realize it's nearly impossible.

The drummer in this video is Matt Chamberlein. He played on most of her studio albums. He is also the drummer for Tori Amos (check out her song -Cornflake Girl with Matt playing live) and played on the Pearl Jam "Ten" album and the Wallfflowers studio albums. He first gained notoriety by playing with Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians and played for a year as the house drummer on SNL.
@jamesweldon97264 жыл бұрын
cgdrum - Actually, Dave Krusen played drums on Ten. Matt Chamberlain was Pearl Jam’s touring drummer until he was offered the SNL gig, then Dave Abruzzese joined the band.

I love how Matt Chamberlain is totally tearing it up in the bridge/drum break, and yet the camera man is focused on Fiona's best Cousin It impression. Love Fiona, but give that drummer some RESPECT! He's killer!

She is a very talented woman, but she detested and would not play the "Star Book Rules" game. She scared the HELL out of men; just listen to the sarcasm dripping in Letterman's voice. That S.O.B. He is not missed in my book. But Lady Apple? Very much so.
