What if the srs module didn't get damaged and just set a srs light because of a crash can the same srs module be cleared of the crash data with the scan tool or does the srs module need to be replaced with a new one ?

I have a 2019 ford escape , airbag module got wet , I'm replacing it with a used one that has a crash locked, I have a xtool d9 pro wondering if I can flash it with it ..any ideas? I'm sure I need to clear it to get rid of the crash code eight?
