James Child It's an awkward bastard child of UK house and garage. Our modern day milieu of genre fusion makes it exceedingly difficult to give styles proper labels.

to be honest, I would call this progressive house (as in Sasha, Digweed, Cattaneo, etc and NOT big room like Avicii or Alesso) or neo house (indistinguishable between tech and progressive house, so Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Tale of US, deep Solomun, etc). But this is only one viewpoint ;)
