Hearing you (my favourite booktuber) talk about June (a friend and one of my favourite authors) is so heartwarming! I'm so happy to hear you loved her books - I always recommend her stuff for fans of k-dramas and similar things and it never misses haha. I remember being a baby bookstagrammer and June being a debut author in 2020 and I posted a review on my insta and tagged her and she was the first author to have interacted with my post. Just so cool all around

Hi Cari! Just wanted to drop a note as I continue my "getting back into reading" journey. THANK YOU for doing these kinds of videos!! I didn't realize how quickly I'd blow through audiobooks from the library, and subsequently fell into a slump after trying to get through a number of highly-rated books that ended up in my DNF pile. (Going to pretend listening to and reading a book are the same thing.) Love your vibe and your takes on books that have landed on my DNF list, so feeling a bit more encouraged trying out some of these books once I finish a comfort read of hunger games. Five Broken Blades has put me in the mood for some more east-Asian inspired fantasy, so I'm psyched to see a lot of that on your lists too! Working on taking on that "I'm not going to read something that will put me into a reading slump" energy. Great energy. Appreciate you!

ahhhh yes!! i’ve been waiting for this one! so glad you decided to do it 😅 also, i feel the same. last year i had such a phenomenal first semester reading wise, and this year nothing really stuck even if i have enjoyed most of them. but hm no scratch that i looked at my goodreads and i’m having a blast 😂 let’s go top 3? 1. a brilliant friend (elena ferrante, she’s a genius only my opinion matters) 2. the hunger games trilogy (a reread, but what a fantastic experience 10 years later) 3. The love hypothesis (we never forget our first ali hazelwood am i right?) most excited to read for the next 5 months: - six crimson cranes (you made me do it) - i want to try an Emily Henry as well, i don’t know which one

Lol you saying "20 years ago" about the Divergent books made me stop in my tracks. I read them, just when the first movie came out. And I'm 25 now. So it can't be 20 years 😂

I love Cat Sebastian so much. I also did not like Allison Safts last book at all. Hated the jerky love interest so much. When Among Crows was so good! Kelly Andrew hits the goal of her story style completely.

I got an ARC of a Sorceress Comes to Call and thought it was really good! I am really loving everything T. Kingfisher is putting out right now. I also read an ARC of Graveyard Shift by ML Rio, but didn't love it. As for When Among Crows, I think it's majorly underrated on GR. I really liked the characters and thought it was a lot of story in such a short little novella. I gave it 5 stars. You Should Be So Lucky is on my TBR and I have it on my short list.

I bought Snow Globe recently after seeing your review, but I haven't picked it up yet. I really want to read Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid, the next in the Everflame series by Penn Cole, and the next Ashley Herringn Blake book! Everything else I can wait on, but not those three!

Editing idea, would you mind letting a small visual of the book you're talking about as you are presenting it ? I tend to not quite retain book names until I've read them, as I have more of a visual memory, so having a reminder of the cover at all times would be a great help since I can just take a peak whenever I want to remind myself (I listen to the vids while doing smtg else). That would be really great, thank you for your great vidéos !!!

I'm really looking forward to The Ashfire King in November. I loved The Stardust Thief and I'm looking forward to re-reading that as well. It's been a long 2 years. No more unfinished trilogies for me lol
